Storyboard

I used the following website link to Create this storyboard online.

https://www.storyboardthat.com/storyboard-creator

I created this so that i am able to follow it scene by scene during my filming allowing me to keep on track this also means i can set to complete a scene a day or multiple and by having a storyboard i am able to give myself time frames camera angles and also be able to note off when a scene is complete but also with this i have a digital copy just incase there is need for re filming.

Storyboarding Methods

Storyboard Research

This is my research for different types of storyboard. I have complete this document as a way of researching and to give me ideas to then be able to completely my own storyboard for my film opening/short film. This will make it easier for me to be able to pick a type of storyboard and to work out which one i think is best such as weather i would prefer to use a digital storyboard or a hand drawn storyboard, or a storyboard that i can have on a wall through post it's.

This is a storyboard that fits the structure of their film, so that if they have a linear structure to filming and a linear narrative so that they no at certain points in the movie what is happening and it is easier to notice where there will be action within the movie or how it will start and end in a linear kind of structure. An advantage of this is that it will be in order and easy to understand is it will follow the linear narrative structure of a conventional film.

This method is the post it method. This is where you will do a post it note for each of the different scenes within your movie. Theses post it notes can then be placed on a wall in chronological order ready for you to photograph or ready for filming. An advantage of this is that you can always move the post it's around and re order them to fit what you think would be best for your film.

This is a storyboard that has been created on paper. It is something that has been hand drawn by either a professional storyboard artist or yourself that you can then follow as you are producing your movie. This can be completed by anybody at any standard of drawing. If it is hard to understand just drawings you can always label the outside of the boxed drawing with information about that scene and that shot.

You can do a digital copy of a Storyboard by doing it step by step on a powerpoint or on a Prezi or in any program of this form. By doing this you will be able to have a digital copy and will then be able to print i to have a copy to have during production and you can always then print another copy if one was to go missing.

Film Treatment/Proposal

I have completed this piece of preproduction as this is very important when you are in the process of making a digital media production. This piece of document is something that you would carry to your meeting wether its for feedback, or if it is for issues that may of occurred or if its involved with budget and finance. This is something all big producers and people funding you would like to see as this gives them an idea of what they will be funding into and what they will end up with at the end of the production. This will help them decide wether they want to create your movie or not and is therefore a very important piece of pre-production documentations and is classed as a necessary.
