Pre-production: Top Tips Powtoon

 In order to create this Powtoon presentation i went through this process. We started off by looking at a case study of a SkyStorm production. To find this information we used the website link https://skystorm.com/pre-production-a-case-study/ where we as a class split into two groups where one group researched the weaknesses of the production by SkyStorm and the other group looked at the strengths of the production by SkyStorm.

When looking for strengths and weaknesses we looked in areas such as location, scouting and planning and things such as the set building and the designs of things and the props and food, we also looked at the actors and how they spread there budget through all of the pre-production areas. We then joined together as a class again and compared weaknesses and strengths of the production by SkyStorm so we all had a copy of the strengths and weaknesses.
Some of the strengths were:

• Meeting the needs of the client 
• They build everything together gradually but also by making sure that they don't forget anything such a props, costume, making sure the scheduling is correct, the set building and designs, location scouting and planning, storyboarding and pre-production planning
• Their foundation enabled production support to operate efficiently through the production day
• Management of budget and resources

some of the weaknesses wore:

• The location pulled out at last minute 
• Changing and re-modeling the set which took up more time
• They spent a lot on props that were not used and they spent a lot of time on the setting when it was barley shown 
• They spent money on real food for the royal family on the scene which was not used so was a waste of money when it could of been spent else where in the production such as casting.
• Did not give themselves enough time for the production 
• Did not have a high enough budget (try crowd funding)

We then used the strengths and weaknesses notes to create the Powtoon for top tips for the pre-production.

By doing this is allowed me to actually see how much time and effort was placed into creating a production and i believe was very helpful for me as it aloud me to see what i would have to do in the process and circumstances of actually making a movie or a music video or any tip of production. I believe that this task is very useful as we will be able to go back and look at these Powtoon's in the future for when we are making our own production and be able to take our own top tips into consideration.
